In an era filled with advances in digital technology, digital transformation has become key in strengthening economic inclusion, ensuring equity, and promoting sustainability. This conference aims to dig deeper into how digital transformation can be a key driver in shaping a more equitable and sustainable economy.
With more people around the world connected through the internet and digital technologies, there are great opportunities to expand access to financial services, education, health, and economic opportunities. However, there is also a risk that digital transformation could increase the gap between those who have access and those who do not.
On the other hand, Accounting, Management and Development Economics are three majors that are related to each other and have a huge influence and impact on the formation of a more equitable and sustainable economy. Unfortunately, so far these three majors seem to be separated with different homes or forums. For this reason, the Forum on Accounting, Management and Economics (FAME) is here to become a forum and a home so that these three majors can synergize again for a greater and wider impact.
The conference will provide a platform for thinkers, policy makers, practitioners, and other stakeholders to share knowledge, experiences, and innovative ideas on how we can harness the potential of digital transformation to create a more inclusive, equitable, and sustainable economy.
In the collaborative atmosphere fostered, FAME also initiated the Forum of Deans of Faculties of Economics and Business throughout Indonesia for the discussion of “Faculty Curricula and Courses towards a World Class University”. The participants can jointly identify strategies to strengthen the foundation of the curriculum and faculty courses. This is expected to produce graduates who not only have strong knowledge in academics, but also the skills and competencies needed to become successful leaders and professionals on a global scale.
